1. Overview

At Fish 'N' Chips, we respect your right to control your personal data. You can request complete deletion of your account and all associated personal data at any time. This page explains the process, what data will be deleted, and any data that may be retained as required by law.

2. How to Request Account Deletion

You can request deletion of your Fish 'N' Chips account using any of the following methods:

Method 1: Through the App

Open Fish 'N' Chips App

Log in to your account using your registered mobile number.

Go to Profile / Account Settings

Navigate to your profile or account settings section.

Select "Delete Account"

Tap on the "Delete Account" option and confirm your request.

Method 2: Contact Us Directly

Send a request via phone call or WhatsApp with your registered mobile number and we will process your deletion request:

What to include: Your registered mobile number and a request to delete your account.

Processing Time: Your account deletion request will be processed within 7 days of receiving the request. You will receive a confirmation once deletion is complete.

3. What Data Will Be Deleted

When your account is deleted, the following personal data will be permanently removed from our systems:

4. Data Retention Period

While most of your personal data is deleted immediately upon processing your request, certain data may be retained for a limited period as required by Indian law and Google Play Store policies:

Transaction Records (Order History & Payments): Retained in anonymized form for up to 180 days (6 months) after account deletion, as required for tax compliance, dispute resolution, and legal obligations under Indian financial regulations.
Legal Compliance Data: If required by a court order, law enforcement request, or regulatory requirement, certain data may be retained for the duration mandated by law.

After the retention period expires, all remaining data is permanently and irreversibly deleted from our servers. No personal identifiers are kept beyond the retention period.

During the retention period, transaction records are:

Stored in anonymized form (your name and phone number are removed).
Not used for marketing or any purpose other than legal compliance.
Not shared with any third party except as required by law.
Automatically deleted after the retention period ends.

5. What Happens After Deletion

You will be logged out of the Fish 'N' Chips app on all devices.
You will no longer be able to access your order history or saved preferences.
Any pending orders at the time of the deletion request will be completed before the account is deleted.
Any unused promotional credits or offers will be forfeited.
If you wish to use Fish 'N' Chips again in the future, you will need to create a new account.
